Flying High!

Our last home school class for the year, at Landrum, had the children flying high.  Ms. Nancy had the children make homemade kites.  They were very excited to try their hand at kite building.

They measured, folded, cut, glued, decorated and attached fabric to their kites.  They wound twine around a popsicle stick and attached the free end to the kite.  They bounded with excitement to test their creations.

Outside, they ran with kites trailing behind them.  All week it had been windy.  However, today a breeze barely blew.  It didn't matter to the children.  They ran and ran allowing the kite to fly behind them.

Everyone had a good time and can't wait until next school year for more classes with Ms. Nancy!
