Keilbasa Casserole

A spur of the moment, what can I make with these ingredients: macaroni, kielbasa and broccoli?  I didn't want to dirty many dishes or monitor the entire cooking process.  So, kielbasa casserole was invented.

Recipe

1 package kielbasa (dice)
1/2 large onion diced
garlic powder, salt, pepper
macaroni
3 cups cheese
1 egg
4 tbs butter
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
16 oz broccoli

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F

In a large pot, add water and 1 tsp salt and bring to a boil.  Add macaroni and cook for 9 minutes.

Add onion and diced kielbasa to the boiling macaroni after 6 minutes.  This will allow the kielbasa to warm and the onions to become tender.

whole keilbasa
diced kielbasa

Add the broccoli to the bottom of the colander.  Drain the macaroni/kielbasa mixture over the broccoli.

Place the butter into the hot pot to melt.

Add the cream of mushroom soup,  milk, cheese and egg to the pot and mix.

Add the garlic, salt and pepper to taste.

Pour the broccoli, macaroni and kielbasa bake into the pot to thoroughly mix the ingredients.

Now, pour the mixture into a 13x9 baking dish.  Place in the oven at 425 degree F for 35 minutes.

At the end of 35 minutes, broil the dish on high for 3-5 minutes.

Almost forgot to take a picture of the finished dish!  I had just dished out some for Little Man.
Yum!
