Pork Steak and Rice

Tonight's supper consisted of what to make with pork steak.  I was originally going to make chicken and rice tonight, but saw the pork and decided to go with it.  However, my taste buds were looking forward to the rice from the chicken and rice.  I decided, what the heck, I will make pork steak and rice!

Pork Steak and Rice

1-2 lbs Pork Steak
2 cups rice
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 packets of mushroom gravy
3 cups water
1 1/2 cups milk
1 tbs butter
salt, pepper, and garlic

Recipe:

Line a broiler pan with aluminum foil.  Place pork on the broiler.  Salt and pepper to taste.

Place in the broiler for 15 minutes on medium broil.

Turn steaks after 15 minutes and broil on medium for additional 15 minutes, or until done.

In a large sauce pan, add three cups of water and 1 tbs butter.  Add salt, pepper and garlic to taste.

Bring water to a boil and add the rice.  Reduce heat and cover.  Cook rice until it has absorbed most of the water.  Add milk, cream of mushroom soup, and mushroom gravy to the rice.  Stir well, cover, and cook on low.  Stir frequently to prevent burning.  Rice is done when tender.

Serve with a vegetable and dinner is done!
