Banana Pudding

We celebrated Hubby's birthday yesterday.  Egee wanted to make her daddy banana pudding for the celebration.  So, we purchased all the necessary ingredients and I whipped up the delicious treat.

Now, I am not a big fan of banana pudding, but this recipe is very tasty.  In fact, it is the only banana pudding I will eat.  It was a big hit yesterday with other family members.  Egee even wants me to make it for her birthday!

Banana Pudding Dessert

1 - 5oz package of vanilla pudding mix
1 - box Vanilla Waffers
3 - bananas
1- 8oz package of cream cheese
1 - small tub of whipped cream (thaw)
1 tsp of vanilla extract
3 cups cold milk
9x13 glass pan

Directions:

Place the cream cheese in mixer and beat on low until creamy and smooth.  Next, add the vanilla pudding mix, vanilla extract, and cold milk and mix on low until all is blended.  (While this is mixing, I cover the bottom of a 9x13 glass pan with a single layer vanilla waffers.  Then slice the bananas thinly and place single layer over the waffers.)  After the above is mixed well, fold in half of the (thawed) whipped cream into the mix.  Make sure the mixture and whipped cream are blended well.  Pour the mixture over the bananas.  (Optional:  Take remaining whipped cream and gently spread over the top of the mixture.  I normally skip this due to the desert already being very rich.)  Line the side of the pan with vanilla waffers by sliding them between the pudding mix and the pan.  Take six remaining waffers and crush them into crumbs.  Gently sprinkle the crumbs over the top of the dessert.  Cover and refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours.  Yummy!
