Vacation Part 6: Animal Kingdom

We love going to the Animal Kingdom!  The park has a unique atmosphere that really feels as though you have left Florida and entered Africa or Asia.

Hubs wasn't thrilled at all the walking and I really felt bad for him as we made our way to the back of the park to ride the safari ride.  This ride happens to be our favorite part!  The animals were out and about this morning and everyone was thrilled!

After the ride, we strolled through the Gorilla exhibit area.  The young gorillas were readily entertaining everyone.  I think we could have watched them play for hours.

We took the train to the outreach area and watched veterinarians perform an endoscopic procedure on an alligator.  The hostess explained what was happening and how the animal is taken care of before, during and after a procedure.  It was very interesting and cool to see.

We went outside and watched one of the animal information shows and played with the goats in the petting area.

Before heading to Dinoland, Egee had to have her picture taken with Pocahontas.

For lunch we ventured to Dinoland and ate.  Then we went on the Dinosaur ride.  We had a great time.

Our next stop was Finding Nemo.  The kids were excited to see it.

Afterwards, we made our way to the Avatar area.  I managed to get Fast Passes to the river ride.  This area of the park is mesmerizing.  We enjoyed looking at the cloud mountains and taking in all the little details.  The river ride was calming and very well done.  We wanted to ride the other Avatar ride, but the wait time was over three hours!

We finished roaming around the paths by the Tree of Life and called it a day.
